Testimony of Dayananda College of engineering, Bangalore
The first thing that strikes you as you enter the college is the eminent new buildings that are scattered all around the
campus, construction never stops in our college. Dayananda Sagar has it all when it comes to infrastructure requirements maybe little more as well.
The campus is green and has plently of hot spots where students can gather around to have their packed lunch or share a laugh.
It has a really good maintenance staff who take good care of the Football ground, basket and tennis courts,campus is always clean and well maintained.
I have been a student of dayanada Sagar for near 2 years now! and belong to the computer Science department.
Our department has its own building and adequate NUMBER of staff. The teaching skills of these staff members is debatable topic, certainly
wouldn’t say the best. Our department is extremely strict, saying this is sugar coating the reality. At times they are very rude and harsh
and inconsiderate.The teachers are no better or no worse than any college so no pointing in cribbing about them. I have come to know how India works by now!
What i really like in the college and the reason i choose the college in the first place is the crowd. The students
are from varied backgrounds and culture. Its global exposure at your door steps. My friends in my class are very unique in their talents,
most them are not into computer science which surprised me in the beginning. They have higher ambitions, some to take over their dads company,
others who are basically interested in doing other passionate things and feel that computer Science degree will be a soft landing if they fail to achieve
goals.
The term “Engineering” is a not entirely true. 2 Years into it, we really haven’t learnt anything to do with engineering. Book knowledge not
learning by experience is what is taught in all the VTU colleges. Hope i am not being too frank about it and put you off, but i feel it is better to know what your signing up
rather than finding out later and feeling bitter. The college offers excellent library facility and at times, if you are good student, teachers support as well.
Our department is said be involved in some projects but i haven’t seen any substantially evidence of that, saying so there has been a noticeable progress since last year.
Dayandanda Sagar comes at a price. Nothing is free. Parking fees, to Soft skill training it is lucrative money minting machine.
In a 30 acre campus it has every course that you can imagine a educational institute can provide. From 1st standard to PUC, from engineering to M TECH, from medical to dental,
from BBM to MBA. So be prepared not to complaint about the hole in your pocket.
Dayandanda Sagar is a “knowledge city”( The college moto ) to a certain extent. It gets students from all over the world apart for the really developed countries like the US and UK etc.
Chinese, Arabs, Germans and Africans as well contribute to total strength of the students.
So if you are looking for a college to scolize and meet varied people, have a decent training and have high tolerance to ridiculous rules like dress code and wearing id cards, this
should be your natural choice.
I have been as frank as i can be and i hope i have been helpful in providing you a perspective of an insider.

Uncertain if it is really my Computer considering I still got virtually no time to upgrade and so i am still utilizing firefox 3 but when visiting the site I seen some type of odd letters all over the page, in case it is crucial I merely considered I’d tell you. like Error: Not possible change head string … and so on. It’s a little bit unusual because for me internet pages just like bing and yahoo and even my personal 1 cheap flights to st lucia work very good for me. Sorry, the english language is simply not my mother language.

Ok, Norton picked up a few viruses on my computer called JS.SecurityToolFraud and a few others which Norton didn’t give names (They Were Trojans) too. Now Norton Says it got rid of these viruses and i need too take no action. Then i got a notice saying something along the lines of ” A seciruty risk appeared, no futher action needed. Then i got the same notice after about 15 minutes. So Norton hasn’t got rid off it, is there anyways i can ensure that the viruses and the trojans Ps. I think the Trojans name was .dropper or something like that, Norton is still running fine, Internet links from google lead me too ad sites. Had to type this in too the bar at the top. Computer running slow.
